What is WATCHMEN ON THE WALLS Christian Movement
Abortions, euthanasia, same-sex marriages and other signs of moral degradation of society become normal in many countries and attract many supporters. They do not tolerate negative attitude toward themselves and try to discredit Christianity in any possible way in order to have more influence on society. Christian values are in danger. Who will doubt it? But who is speaking out against it? Who is monitoring anti-Christian laws promoting? Who is telling churches about it? Who is organizing acts of protest? Watchmen On The Walls is the international Christian movement that unites Christian leaders, Christian and social organizations and aims to protect Christian morals and values in society.
In order to know what is going on outside of church walls someone has to stand on the walls. These are watchmen. Nehemiah stood on ruins of Jerusalem just as we stand on ruins of our juridical walls today. Protection of Christianity begins with the restoration of walls that watchmen should stand on. This is thse main sense of the Watchmen On The Walls movement.
WHAT WAS THE REASON TO FOUND WATCHMEN ON THE WALLS
Watchmen On The Walls movement is similar to Christian labor unions that protect and represent rights of church and Christians. Who organized massive protest of illegals from South America? — Their unions. Who raised the wave of youth actions in France? — Their unions. Who organized gay-parades? — Their unions. The task of labor unions is to study out situation, monitor laws and immediately react in case of rights violation. For their proper work they need juridical, political, informational and administrational resources.
The basic principal of society structure is the right of citizens on knowledge and the right on self-expression, protected by Constitution. In order to play an active role in their country's life people have to be informed and competent in politics. That is what Watchmen On The Walls do. Watchmen On The Walls also organizes massive events on the level of city administration, involving pastors, politicians, singers and musicians. Such conferences also play their positive role in dialogue between Church and government. Coordination center discusses situation in the country on regular meetings and organizes drives for signatures and protest actions if needed, writes open letters, statements and plans such events as marches for Jesus, family parades and others.
