Conservative legislators call for help to defend the family in USA
Conservative legislators called Washington Values Alliance with an urgent plea for help in contacting citizens of Washington State, reports Watchmen on the Wall. They have requested the presence of church leaders and defenders of Judeo-Christian values to help defend the institution of marriage by attending public hearings on February 5 to show resolute opposition to Senate Bill 5688 and House Bill 1727, which "declare for a purposes under state law, state registered domestic partners shall be treated the same as married spouses." Passage of these bills would open the door for the liberal Washington State Supreme Court to impose the California Court's rationale and precedent to overturn our state's Defense of Marriage Act via judicial fiat.
“We need people who are willing to speak to the issue as well as those who will wave signs or just be there to provide moral support for our side,” said Larry Stickney, President of Washington Values Alliance, in his letter.
“If you can possibly make it, we need you to come! We simply cannot continue to allow the homosexual lobby to march unimpeded through our institutions, rewriting our laws on their misguided quest for acceptance and validation of an immoral and dangerous lifestyle.”
